Kismet Introductions Limited terms and conditions

 

Please read the terms and conditions below carefully.  As by ticking the box you are accepting the terms and conditions as specified below which form the basis of a Contract between Kismet Introductions Limited, a company registered at 31 Dashwood Avenue, High Wycombe, England, HP12 3DZ, Company Number 10660147 and the member, which we may at our discretion accept.  On our acceptance of you as a member, i.e. when you receive your welcome letter from Kismet Introductions Limited a legally binding contract will have been created between you and Kismet Introductions Limited, this includes all transactions and services without reservation.

 

Definitions 

  • Member - person (searching for a partner) who has completed an application form and received a confirmation email to affirm that their membership has been granted by Kismet introductions.

  • Basic members - a member that signs up for free and their details are stored on our portfolio. Kismet Introductions Limited does not actively search for basic members.

  • Premium member - a paying member that signs up for a set time period.  Active searching and preferential matching takes place for these members in addition to a consultation with a Kismet Introductions matchmaker.

  • Free Premium trial membership - this is only available to new members that have not used the service before or taken advantage of a previous free trial offer.  The free trial offer is that you will be given your first match for free.

  • Introduction -  the point at which contact details are provided to both parties. The term 'introduction' does not guarantee a face to face meeting between members

  • Match - when a profile for a prospective partner is sent to a member

  • Potential match - prospective partner that has been assessed as a possible match by Kismet Introductions.

 TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP

 

Conduct of members

  • All Kismet Introduction members are required to be single and committed to finding a long term partner.  If at any point your relationship status changes during the course of your membership, it is your responsibility to notify Kismet Introductions,  that you are no longer available to receive profiles.

  • All members are required to give Kismet Introductions true and accurate information and provide updated information if there are any changes in circumstances. 

  • All members are responsible for all the personal data they provide to Kismet Introductions.

  • Membership is not  automatic,  acceptance is at the discretion of Kismet Introductions and we have the right to decline or terminate any membership if you do not meet the requirements set out within the Terms and Conditions.

  • All members are required to provide valid ID that confirms their name, address and date of birth. All members must be UK nationals or have an immigration status document issued by the Home Office or UK Border Agency to the holder with an endorsement indicating that the person named can stay indefinitely in the United Kingdom or has no time limit on their stay.  No introductions will be made until all above criteria have been met.

  • Membership is only valid for a person that has registered with Kismet Introductions where valid forms of ID have been received and confirmation of ID validation e-mail received by the member from Kismet Introductions.

  • Kismet Introductions will endeavour to match all members according to their preferences where possible, however no guarantees are given on the number of matches that will be sent or that any match sent will satisfy the requirements of a members preference.

  • It is the members responsibility to notify Kismet Introductions on how an introduction is proceeding. 

  • If an introduction has been made,  it is the members responsibility to notify Kismet  Introductions when they would like us to find them a new match.

  • Members reserve the right to reject matches put forward by Kismet Introductions.

  • Kismet Introductions will not offer you another match whilst you are with a potential match, sent to you by us.  It is your responsibility  to feedback to us after you have met your potential match and let us know when you would like meet another potential partner.

  • Kismet Introductions are not responsible for the behaviour of members after the expiration of their membership period, or members that are no longer registered with us.

  • Kismet Introductions is not accountable for behaviour or actions of a member after the introduction has been made and members have exchanged personal contact details.

  • By signing our Terms and Conditions you are giving permission to Kismet Introductions to forward your details to a suitor whom they may think is suitable for you as per the information provided by you in relation to your preferences.


 

Payment

  • Premium Members are required to pay membership fees at the time of signing up.

  • Your membership start date is the Start date on your welcome letter.

  • No services will be provided until valid ID and any payment due have been received and confirmation has been sent to the member.

  • Payment can be made by Paypal and credit or debit card.  Members can also pay by bank transfer (details will be provided on request, if this payment option is selected). 


 

Your safety

  • Kismet Introductions asks all members to provide ID before an introduction is made, however we encourage all our members to substantiate these  details themselves as Kismet Introductions does not  accept liability for any misrepresentation made by members.  Although all members are ID checked the information provided by the member is taken in good faith and members would be breaching terms and conditions by failing to provide true information.  We encourage all members to verify information that is provided in the profile as Kismet Introductions does not  accept liability for any misrepresentation made by members.

  • Members must agree not to hold the initial meeting at their home address.  Any meetings that takes place at any time are completely at the members own risk and it is the responsibility of the member  to take all necessary and reasonable precautions that are required for their safety.


 

Confidentiality

  • By ticking the terms and conditions button Kismet Introduction members are confirming that they shall not disclose, discuss or show any personal details or share or forward the profile or photo or any other details of any member to any other persons.

  • Kismet Introductions takes confidentiality very seriously and we hold all members details in confidence.  Refer to privacy policy for more details.


 

Terminating Membership

  •  If any member is found the have knowingly provided inaccurate information their membership will be terminated, no refund will be made.

  • All profiles are completely confidential.  Kismet Introductions will forward your details to a prospective partner that we asses as a suitable match for you,  by signing the terms and conditions you accept that you will be discreet and sensitive with all profiles that have been sent to you.  Breach of these terms will result in termination of your membership, no refund will be made.

  • If any member sends abusive, inappropriate, offensive messages to other members,  or exercises any inappropriate behaviour, their membership will be terminated.  Kismet Introductions reserve the right to terminate your membership without any notice and in the event that Kismet Introductions terminates your membership, no refund will be made.

  • Should you request that we begin your service during the 14 day cancellation period and you then cancel within this time, your fee will be returned to you, minus the charges for the service already provided. If any provision of this agreement shall be found by any Court or administrative body of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, the invalidity or unenforceability of such provision shall not affect the other provisions of this agreement and all provisions not affected by such invalidity or unenforceability shall remain in full force and effect.

  • If you decide to cancel your membership at any point, no refund will be made by Kismet Introductions (unless within the 14 day cancellation period).

  • If a member fails to respond to Kismet Introductions after a match has been emailed to them, following reminders from Kismet Introductions, their membership will be cancelled.


 

Membership prices

  • Kismet Introduction prices are subject to change and can be changed at any time, this will not affect any payments made prior to the change.

  • Kismet Introductions may offer special offers, these offers and  prices will only be available for a limited period. Kismet Introductions are not required to give any notice of change to their offers and prices.


 

Other important Information

  •  Kismet Introductions does not contract that our email, website and servers are free from viruses or other damaging components and will not be held liable for any consequential direct or indirect damage that may emerge from utilising our site.

  • Members agree that neither Kismet Introductions nor its directors or managers shall have any liability for the demands or actions of the members (past or present). Nothing in these terms and conditions and in particular within the 'exclusion of liability' clauses shall attempt to exclude liability that is not permissible under applicable law. This does not affect your 14 day cancellation period under the Consumer Protection Regulations 2013.

  • These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time.
